Our Story
Founded in 2005 by Patsy Carney and Tom Brennan, Eirgen Pharma has grown to become a global leader in the development and manufacturing of high-quality pharmaceutical formulations, specializing in film-coated tablets, softgel capsules, and powder or liquid-filled hard-shell capsules.
Our focus on producing complex and high-potency medicines, particularly oncology therapies, specialty pharmaceuticals, and niche generics, established Eirgen Pharma as a trusted CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) and CMO (Contract Manufacturing Organization) for some of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies.
In 2015, Eirgen Pharma joined the OPKO Health family, enabling us to enhance our R&D capabilities, expand our state-of-the-art GMP compliant manufacturing facilities, and increase our capacity for highly potent drug development. Our latest expansion, due to launch in Q3 of 2025, reinforces our commitment to advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing, regulatory compliance (FDA, EMA, HPRA), and supply chain excellence.
Today, Eirgen Pharma is led by Damien Burke. Eirgen now serves patients in more than 60 countries worldwide including major pharmaceutical markets in the USA, Europe, Japan, Canada, the Middle East, Australia, and Africa.
